About Academic Bridge Foundation
Academic Bridge Foundation was created to reconnect Romania with the generations of international students who studied there, built their professional lives there, and carried Romania with them after returning home.
This is not a new relationship. It is the continuation of an old one.
A historic bond,
rebuilt for the future
For more than five decades, students from Africa, Asia, the Arab world, and Europe came to Romania to study medicine, engineering, architecture, agriculture, computer science, and other fields. They learned the Romanian language, lived in Romanian cities, formed friendships, and built the foundation of their careers.
Today, many of them are respected doctors, professors, public servants, diplomats, entrepreneurs, scientists, and community leaders. Academic Bridge brings them back together — not only to remember the past, but to create the future.

To reunite international alumni of Romanian universities, rebuild the bridge between Romania and their countries, create affiliated local chapters, and open educational pathways for a new generation of students.

Romania’s Role
Romania is the center of the foundation’s educational strategy. Through partnerships with Romanian universities and institutions, Academic Bridge helps students discover academic opportunities, prepare for study, and connect with alumni who understand the journey.
Global Chapters
In each country, Romanian university alumni can become founding members of local chapters. These chapters reconnect alumni, mentor students, recommend candidates, organize forums, and represent the foundation’s mission locally.
